For decades, windsurfing and kiteboarding have taken me into the heart of some of the most dynamic action on the water. I don’t photograph these sports from the outside. I work inside the movement, looking for the instant when speed, technique and instinct become one.
INSIDE THE ACTION
Get close enough
to feel it.
The closer I am to the athlete, the more powerful the image becomes. Water, spray and speed are not obstacles. They are part of the photograph.
MOVEMENT, NOT STILLNESS
Motion becomes
a visual language.
Slow shutter speeds, panning and unconventional angles became part of my visual language — transforming motion into energy.
